A Piece of New Zealand’s Artistic Legacy:
The Kiwi Swan is more than just ceramic art—it’s a symbol of New Zealand’s rich heritage in decorative ceramics. The design traces back to Crown Lynn’s classic pieces, first showcased at a 1948 trade show. Mastered by Bruce Yallop in 1975, this shape reflects decades of tradition inspired by English pottery but uniquely crafted in New Zealand by Crown Lynn’s founder, Tom Clarke.

Many families remember the Swan gracing their mantles, and originals now fetch hundreds to thousands of dollars, especially rare glaze variations. We honor this legacy with limited runs featuring new glaze finishes inspired by the originals.

About Crown Lynn:
A major exporter of New Zealand ceramic art, Crown Lynn pieces remain beloved across Australia and beyond. Our Kiwi Swan continues the tradition started by Crown Lynn, then carried on by Catherine Anselmi Ceramics, Studio Ceramics, and since 2017 by Stepa.nz under the Crownlynn.kiwi label.
